Apply appropriate preload: Using the spring without preload may cause it to vibrate and twist. Therefore, when possible, apply appropriate preload to improve the spring's stability.
Use guiding devices correctly: When necessary, use devices such as inner diameter guide pins or outer diameter guides to guide the spring's movement and prevent twisting and breakage.
Pay attention to the clearance between the countersunk hole and the spring: If the clearance between the countersunk hole and the spring is too small, the outer side of the spring may bulge and rub against the countersunk hole, causing force concentration and breakage. Therefore, the countersunk hole diameter should be designed to be larger than the spring's outer diameter by a certain amount (e.g., 1.5 mm).
Avoid foreign object inclusion: Foreign objects may cause the effective coil of the spring to become ineffective, with only other parts compressed, resulting in high stress and breakage. Therefore, ensure that there are no foreign objects inside the spring before use.
