Types Of Irregularly Shaped Stainless Steel Springs

The difference between irregularly shaped springs and traditional Chongqing stainless steel springs lies in the irregularity of the spring itself, with bends and numerous complex angle designs. This results in relatively higher requirements for manufacturing and processing technology, as well as equipment. Computer-aided winding is generally used, and due to the numerous winding angles and bends, production speed is slow.

 

The first type: Large spring processing. Because of its large wire diameter (16-200mm for hot-rolled wire), it is also called a hot-rolled spring. Its production process uses hot-rolling technology. After heating, it is easily twisted and shaped, resulting in very low elasticity. It can be quenched during manufacturing and forming.

 

The second type: Locomotive springs, named for their high yield strength, or rather, their hardness. Their manufacturing and processing technology is similar to large springs, but in the early days, the rolling, drawing, and other processes of the spring material were more stringent.

 

The third type: Compression springs, named because they can generally withstand relatively small forces. The manufacturing process differs from the first two types. During the remanufacturing process, in order to ensure the finished product meets quality standards, in addition to the design and manufacturing processes of locomotive springs and large springs, a special requirement in the early stages of manufacturing is that the material cross-section must be round, which is conducive to the large recycling capacity after production.
